Most professionals have to facilitate meetings and work groups at some point in their career. For most of us, we simply repeat the role as we have seen others do it. But there is an art and a bit of science to facilitating effective meetings and productive work groups. Join us as we explore group development and maintenance issues, including collaboration, leadership, membership, decision-making approaches, and team work. And we will also discuss the keys to facilitating effective meetings.
After this session you will be able to:

Explore group development and maintenance through collaboration, leadership, membership, decision-making approaches, and team work.
Name six steps for recruiting new work group members.
Understand the spheres of conflict and how to work though conflicts, which are a natural part of work groups.
Recognize the keys to effective facilitation of meetings.
Identify common work group pitfalls and steps to avoid them
